Testimonials
Karn’s Bad Arty Parties have a creative energy that works like reverse psychology. Removing expectation liberates the partygoers to produce some surprising images. Starting with a short meditation, Karn uses skilful and surprising prompts to provoke image and mark making. These can be music, shapes, a series of words, a feeling, or just an idea presented from an unusual angle. They are truly original in their approach and their work. People come to the party from different continents and communities and we all love sharing our outcomes and ideas. It’s a blast, and the images we come out with teach us about ourselves.

Thanks so much for the inks and whole experience of receiving it and reading the booklet and card. I gave them to my partner and me as a present for the 12th anniversary of our being together today. It brought her to tears, she's passionate about colour and natural dyeing etc. So this thank you comes from her too.

I enjoyed the seasonal colour workshop with Karn’s so much! I loved spending the day playing and getting to know hawthorn and how different modifiers (like copper and rust!) worked with the plant. Karn is warm, friendly and welcoming, leading the session and guiding us, while giving space to let the process and play take the lead. Really recommend Karn’s workshops if you're interested in natural colour and ink-making with the seasons.

A great day spent diving into the art of natural ink-making. Karn is an amazing guide and holds a gentle space to explore foraging and making ink. A generous day filled with play and insight allowing you to explore and connect.

My daily writing had become a bit samey - all about stuff I had to do or how I was feeling. WRITE CLUB has injected some creativity and helped me think about why I want to write and how writing practise can support me in living a more present life, with more attention and wonder and everyday magic. It’s also lovely to have a writing community to meet with regularly.
